Yesterday it was time for my Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation course renewal. To keep my registration with the Federation of International Sports, Aerobics and Fitness (FISAF) and Australian fitness network I need to renew my CPR knowledge every two to three years. I have an insurance through my membership with the European Register of Exercise Professionals (EREPS) which I also believe requires one to stay up to date, even with CPR. This course has been my fourth, and every time I take it I seem to learn something new. Since my last CPR the recommendations have changed, to 30 compressions and 2 breaths. The CPR doll has also changed, and I got to meet the Mini-Anne. For anybody that lacks a CPR course, or a recent CPR course, I recommend taking one and/or watching this video from YouTube. You might save somebody’s life by doing so.
