Iris Classon - In Love with Code

Update: It sure has been a while, but I am finally back

Around Christmas I decided to take a break from blogging, I just didnt feel like writing and decided to focus all my attention on programming. So much has happened, I don’t even know where to start…
I’ve passed four Microsoft exams and I have now four Microsoft Certifications,

  • 70-511: TS: Windows Applications Development with Microsoft .NET Framework 4

  • 70-506: TS: Silverlight 4, Development

  • 70-515: TS: Web Applications Development with Microsoft .NET Framework 4

  • TS: Accessing Data with Microsoft .NET Framework 4

I’m still healthy and loving my workouts, and I have now orange/red hair

The web applications development certificate was/is the course we are doing now, and since I took the certificate early and was more or less done with the course I was allowed to go out on an early internship together with a very skilled programmer (also a student, his last year) Daniel Widegren. I was also lucky to get a second internship at DotNet Mentor, a software development company with also highly skilled programmers, and I felt as a part of the team from day one- and as with my other colleague Daniel, I am very thankful for all the patience, attention and knowledge given to me.

I started applying for work, for the summer and hopefully beyond, at a few places,- and was extremely happy when my second internship offered me a job. Since I started my internship so early, I also finish school a month early, and in just 26 days May the 1st I officially be a part of the DotNet Mentor team as software developer. I am sooo happy!

And a few weeks ago I colored my hair bright red and set a new record for dumbbell presses (Rep Max 22.5kg per dumbbell). My sister is getting married in Thailand next November, my mum got a new job as an engineer, and mum and dad opened a second nightclub and both nightclubs are doing well. I am still running five times a week, injury free, and averaging on 40-50 km a week right now, and yes ,- I still love barefoot running and do it as much as I can.
So yeah, this is the update. From now on I am back on the blog, and hopefully so are my readers :)
