Happy NYE 2013

Making taco’s with two good friends (also programmers) Jonas and Daniel W. Julia baked up some pie, and the rest of the guys are talking tech in the livingroom. Notice the raspberrypies in the box LOL

I had one of the best NYE ever yesterday! It was me, my husband (Daniel), another couple, Niclas and Julia, Daniel (also referred to as Hard-Daniel as he works with hardware), Mikael, and two dear friends of mine Jonas and Daniel W,- also programmers. (Yes we had three Daniel’s)

So the count was:

  • 1 Graphic motions artist

  • 1 Technician

  • 1 Engineer

  • 2 IT Pro/system specialist

  • 3 Programmers

    • by telephone: 1 Retouch Artist

What an awesome mix! We made homemade pizza and tacos and Julia had made some delish’ lemon pie. We spent the evening talking, and mostly laughing. Jonas had brought his raspberry pie (so in theory we also had some pie to serve LOL), we had planned to do something cool with his and mine but we never got around to it. But we did manage to sneak in some programming, and a barbecue. Niclas had expressed that we had to barbecue at midnight so we could say that we were the first to barbecue in 2013 (it’s a Swedish thing to argue over who did it first). And so we did. Standing in the rain, watching the fireworks, Champagne in hand (non alcoholic- none of us are big on drinking), 2 degrees Celsius and sausages on the barbecue. It was a great evening! At 3 am one of my dearest friends Kim Brockie called me (retouch artist) a tiny bit drunk from the Faereo Islands and we talked about some good memories, and how awesome the new year will be. I miss you a lot Kim, and next year you have to be here! See you soon :) Daniel W. stayed over and the next day we worked on a Windows Store App,- playing around with live tiles and toast notifications. Mikael came by, and we watched some documentaries and coded some more. The perfect end to a new year, and the perfect start to a new year!

Thank you, all of you, friends that were here, friends on FB, Twitter, Skype - all of you,- for making my year so amazing and beautiful. I’m sure the next year will be even more amazing, and I can’t wait to meet more people, meet those of you I haven’t met, hang out, code, laugh and talk about nothing and everything.

**I wish you a truly happy New Year of 2013!**

Glad to hear you had a lovely time and of course it's not New Years Eve, without a call from the atlantic haha :-) Great talking with you again and I'll look forward to the next one.
